If Manchin declares himself to be an “Independent” and no longer a Democrapt, I see no difference what so ever, as long as he caucuses with the Democrapts and keeps any committee leadership positions he has.

Sinema’s decision was strategic. She was going to be ‘primaried’ in 2024. Now, if the RATs select a candidate, she will potentially, ‘split the vote,’ become a spoiler, and AZ goes GOP.
