Kroger forbids employees from addressing customers as "sir" or "ma'am" because the employee might "misgender" someone. That's friggin insane. They fired employees, who for religious beliefs, refused to wear a "rainbow badge".
Kroger is as bad as any of them.

I always thought Kroger was a shabby kind of a store. Not very appealing.

Kroger dissed a local newspaper from their media stands in my area years ago because the paper is published by a large church that actually takes Christianity seriously. Their wokester management didn’t like the fact the church is opposed to their pro-homo agenda.

Well that takes nerve. To go after a church. The last time I was in a Krogers, and this was many years ago they had almost an entire aisle full of porno mags.

"I've cautioned them for years that if they silence conservatives and center-right voters ... if they discriminated against them in their company, they probably shouldn't come and ask Republican senators to carry the water for them whenever our Democratic friends want to regulate them or block their mergers," he continued. After explaining that he knows Democrats will highly scrutinize Kroger's acquisition, Cotton then dropped the mic.
"I'll say this: I'm sorry that's happening to you. Best of luck," he said.
A response by a politician finally exhibiting some manhood that I can actually get on board with.

They’ll get their merger and be celebrated. One member of Congress objecting isn’t enough. People will shop there no matter what the corporation does or says.
We’re so screwed.

Hilarious! Democrats suspicious of large corporations? You would have to be oblivious to write those words.

I’ve had similar thoughts about Kroger as well. Never like going there.

You would expect a pro-sodomite chain like Kroger to be a little more anal (pun intended) about the appearance/organization of their store. :-)

The Republicans wouldn’t even stop their own merger with the Democratic Party.

Corporate America is no friend of conservatism or traditional values. Large companies whose founders were culturally, if not politically, conservative, e.g. Wal-Mart and Disney, have gone over to thee enemy side. I doubt the Democrats, other than perhaps a few old school left populists, like Senators Warren and Sanders will pose much objection to the merger.

Sen. Cotton is right. That said, there was no “drops mic.” That would have been lame and expensive, and only dems do that.
I presume the phrase is just blogger hyperbole in this case. Lame hyperbole.

I don’t understand why the government doesn’t want them to merge, it’s not like they’re the only grocery chains out there, and merging is a natural occurrence in business.
