[[HSing families grew from 6% of total families pre-pandemic to 11% this year]]

Very encouraging. I hope, the trend comtinues, and this, country starts to go,back to a more moral, stable, others-oriented society, and that we move from a “gimmedat” society to a “what can I help you with” society

I’m definitely against most teachers being armed. Lib women and faggots would probably kill kids by accident.

They have kids so freaked out over “white supremacy”, causing them to hate themselves, freaked about uttering the wrong personal pronoun, and freaked over the environment, thinking we are all doomed, and freaked about “racist statues of historical figures”, and freaked out about not being a tyranny when all the “cool kids are”, that it’s no wonder these kids are mentally disturbed now!

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

As a husband of a current HS administrator in la la land, I agree with your statement, only I do not limit this to IEP kids, its all of them. There is a big problem with parenting skills nowadays. There are no morals being taught at home and thus the kids have zero moral compass. Rejection of religious values is most likely a big part of this. No right or wrong, anything goes, no rules. That leads them to be very easy prey for indoctrinators. Recently, I have seen quite a few “liberal” administrators starting to identify and reject the indoctrination that was allowed to get to this very dangerous and unsafe point. There are STILL indoctrinated CRT kids here calling for complete abolishment of school police even as fentanyl sales and use are rampant inside the schools. Indoctrinators have created a whole generation of mentally deficient morons.

My youngest son is a divergent learner with Asbergers. Thankfully, his high school has a special program for his learning style and he is a straight A student. They also take bullying very seriously.

You are correct. It is up to parents to reclaim the schools. That starts with local involvement.

Perhaps if the teachers taught instead of making tik toks showing that focusing on sex and themselves is the priority.

Maybe if reading, writing and math were more important than drag queens, rainbow flag and queer studies.

Maybe if kids were the center on attention and not the freaks they call teachers nowadays.

Just have a plain old fashioned teaching environment and things would improve.

Don’t bring the teaching down to the level of the least, bring the least up to the best with special focused attention.

It never was going to be two weeks, and everyone with braincells left KNEW IT.

I think that Doug Ford (Premier of Ontario) has several dozen more functioning braincells than Biden, and I think that he believed that two weeks would suffice to flatten the curve of what he had been told to expect, given what had unfolded in Italy and possibly China.

The head medical officer in Canada pitched the flattening of the curve along with the eradication of the virus. That person either had fewer braincells than Ford, was extremely uneducated for the position occupied, or was a liar.

There are an amazing number of undereducated people out there.

I couldn’t agree more. Although your example is much more vivid than what we see here. Parents are afraid of their kids. They don’t want them to hate them. It never crossed my mind when I raised my kids, they’ll either respect and love you or rebel no matter what. Luckily I came out good on that score. Anyway I’m sure you’ve seen the trouble makers’ parents be called in and deny up and down about their kid acting out and turn the problem right back on the school.

I know of a woman at one of the local schools that has 8 kids in various grades, all of which have IEPs, some for ridiculous reasons. The Pre-K child in the bunch gave the game away - when asked why she sits and pees herself rather than ask to go to the bathroom, she said her momma told her not to. Turns out momma gets $800 per month per child on IEPs. Momma is making bank raising dysfunctional kids, and ain’t nothing the school can do about it without exhaustive evidence that they are unwilling to put together. Not their money so they just roll with it.

A lot of kids are suffering because the schools were shut down and they were all to learn via zoom. That did not work. The kids fell way behind and now that schools are open, they are expected to understand the new material as if the schools never closed.

My son teaches in 8th grade. His students got nothing out of the 7th grade. And he is being held responsible for the kids failures.
