Why is Chris Hayes worried?

Hayes should be rejoicing in the prospect that Twitter collapses under Elon Musk’s ownership.

But when Hayes says that Twitter ‘may stop working altogther’, he really means that it will no longer be a safe place for leftist drivel or censorship of the right wing.

What a joke - Twitter was always owned by the private sector, which Hayes and his ilk loved because it meant it could legally censor conservative opinions. Had it truly been publicly owned, censorship would have been illegal.

Hayes favors private ownership of Twitter. He just wants the owners to censor conservatives rather than have it be a truly open forum.
