Yeah the propagandists really think they can gaslight people into believing more non-Republicans lean toward DeSantis and more Republicans lean toward Trump.
The Democrats are really angry that President Trump opened the eyes of so many black and Hispanic voters.

Only one is fighting. DeSantis hasn’t declared and isn’t attacking Trump.
Just my opinion but I think if Trump picked person and said this is my heir and fully supported them but allowed them to distance themselves on a little of the inflammatory rhetoric it would be a guaranteed win
