This GP headline is TRUTH.
Hopefully Trump and desantis are playing a game of I hate you, no I hate you more until the finali where they join forces and crush them all, I can dream cant I?
—> DeSantis is the next president.
The Rotarians can always use a good President!
I’m not supporting Trump this time around, and I won’t vote for him in the primary.
—> Trump need to step away and let the next guy have a shot.
So far, Trump looks like the next guy.
Trump needs to change his tactics to “inform and expose” with no petty, personal attacks. He can be a force for good, but he’s too old to run again. Yes, the election was stolen, but exposure of that truth will be a long time coming, and he needs to realize that fact and shift gears.
A healthy primary process will decide who is the next nominee. I welcome Trump’s candidacy, but I also welcome other candidates as well.
If Trump wants to tamp down criticism from republicans, he may want to stop all the sophomoric nonsense such as lying Ted, Slow Jeb, little Marco and the latest...Ron DeSanctimonious.
Trying to blow out someone else’s candle in an effort to make yours glow brighter is not a way to garner respect. It’s simply childish.
The left is pushing the idea of running DeSantis because they don’t want Trump because Trump exposed the swamp.
Stoking division is not helping. Don’t play into Democrats hands.
His performance in one state is because of election reforms he pushed for in that state (and still didn’t reach Trump’s high in that state.)
Those reforms do not translate to the other 49 states.
The most humble, effective, and economical approach would be to wait until he's drafted.
I expect the Dems to continue to hammer Trump and declare him guilty of some fake crime, and declare him ineligible to run. (and found innocent after its too late). It is clear to me that our system is that corrupt.
P.S. There are no examples of a VP taking on a leadership role that so impressed the voting public, that they swept him into office "when his time came". And No Prez is going to allow his VP to overshadow him or take credit for the results.
DeSantis is by any measure more conservative than the populist Trump, and the democrats are doing everything they can to push Trump into running because it guarantees them another presidential victory, and another underperforming election down-ballot.
The “RINOS” just would like to win some elections for the party they pretend to be a part of. Although they have a lot in common with Trump, as both RINOS and Trump will happily endorse democrats in major important elections against republicans.
All that is needed is a person or persons to broker a deal between Trump and DeSantis!
Envisioning Trump on a throne sums up the views of his rabid fans very well indeed. I, for one, look for a servant, not a master, when voting.
But Trump has made it clear that, like the Bourbons, restored to the throne of France when Napoleon was overthrown, he has learned nothing, and forgotten nothing.
The left is more afraid of DeSantis than Trump
Maybe not 48, only 45!
“Has DeSantis said anything in Kari Lake’s defense? “
What does one say to defend an Obama democrat?
“(and still didn’t reach Trump’s high in that state.)”
Midterm election 2 million less turnout and he almost matched Trump winning by 20 pointd.
