Dirtbags like Paul Ryan hurt DeSantis by coming out and saying he will back him. Probably that would make Trump think DeSantis could be running.
I haven’t seen anything yet to indicate a DeSantis run. He seems to be a great Governor. But Trump is super competitive and this is what he does. I think he figures he can dispatch Cruz by putting him on Scotus.
Trump is Trump and this is who he is. I don’t particularly like it either but he always does it.

I didn’t forget. Ron DeSantis is running for another term as FL governor. I haven’t seen him positioning himself for a 2024 run at POTUS.
