Absolutely. For years counting centers have dealt with smart-ass voters who write in Mickey Mouse, Abraham Lincoln, etc. I know; I supervised elections for three years. Basically, ballots with write-ins are “n-pros” (non-processable) so are set aside because they can’t be counted in the normal way. They gum up the works.

Even worse would be if there were a mass effort to write in, because the time to reach a true result WOULD take days.
