I didn’t recall reading this article or any other describing PP’s 1957 fatal crash at the time of PP’s more recent — notice I do not say 2nd — crash earlier this year, in response to which the article I posted in the OP was written.

My initial reaction was what is this? Because I thought of Chappaquiddic also... Anyway, there was a LOT less traffic on the roads back then... few seatbelts... and rich kids were given their own cars at an early age.
I was younger, and my friends had to work to be able to have a beat-up old car that they often worked on themselves, so they tended to be more careful!
