Your question is fine but a different piece of the puzzle: My guess is, the guy was invited and allowed in by Pelosi, then started acting weird enough to scare Pelosi, who went to the bathroom and made the call. The physical attack started after the call and before the police arrived. Pelosi got a grip on the hammer at some point and that’s when the cops arrived, probably at the front and rear of the house at the same time. You know the rest.
