You can certainly vote early if convenience is more important to you than saving your country. I hope they are counted for who you actually voted for and not changed to a straight Democratic ticket at 3 in the morning because they are needed to flip a race, like what happened in 2020.

Maybe the red wave is so big this year that the Democrats can't change the outcome even if they cheat with the mail in votes.

There are people who have legitimate reasons to vote by mail. They should be required to apply for ballots ahead of the election. There should absolutely no unsolicited mail in ballots sent out as is the case in Texas. In Texas we have a very generous 12 day in person early voting period that ends the Friday before election day. Furthermore the early votes are tabulated the weekend before election day and promptly released just after poll closing time.

Um… the father of mail in ballots is saying this? Well that’s confusing, if we are all being honest.
I never vote early.. always Election Day. It is the American blood of sacrifice and being proudly uncomfortable. I hate waiting in line, so it’s kinda a reminder that some things are more important than my own convenience.

And eliminate tax withholding.

Your points are reasonable, however IF early voting is the law in your state, and you have done your homework, do take that advantage and vote early, absolutely!

Ballot shortages, virus outbreaks, any other "issues" are less likely to affect you.

Get that IN PERSON vote in and locked.

Encourage like-minded friends and acquaintances to vote, offer rides.

I voted early a few days ago, and have that great feeling of accomplishment that comes with getting an important job completed ahead of schedule.

“The first time I remember going with my Dad when he voted was 1960, New York”

The first time I pulled a lever in a Presidential election was for Eisenhower in 1952 when I was four, in New York. Of course, Mom was the voter, but she let me pull the lever for her. I hardly remember it, but it sounds like what you described — the curtain and big red lever.

Same here. My father held me up to pull the levers in the voting booth. The Dem vs Repub levers he wanted. This was done as my education in democracy.

How much the US has declined since then. As far as the second Tuesday in November voting process. Now every lazy dumbass idiot in the world should be accommodated by remote voting/ Drop boxes etc.

Just as a aside. All your libertarian free trade BS (of 10-12 years ago) flunks out in times of war. Go talk to Vlad about free trade. His most important n desperate “free” trade is with Iranians to buy drones and missile.

We do need to vote, in person, on Election Day - but the cheating takes place during the weeks before the election, and during the days after election.

Long before Election Day, they are flooding the system with unverified and unrequested ballots.

Long before Election Day, they are weakening and suspending verification procedures.

In the days after the election, they are gathering, altering, and counting illegitimate ballots. They are “adjudicating” rejected ballots without proper observance by representatives of both parties.

People show up on Election Day and get told they can’t vote the system has already recorded a supposedly mailed in ballot in their name.

It’s not enough to vote on Election Day - somebody has to watch them like a hawk before and after - during all the election activities.
