I wonder how these statements are going to go over with the black voters in Georgia? Herschel Walker is a rock-star in Georgia football history.

Today is the Georgia/Florida football game and with the death yesterday of former coach Vince Dooley, there will be no doubt a lot of mentions of the era of Georgia football in which Walker was the King. Highlight reels will undoubtedly been shown and should they deliberately withhold videos of Walker running over his opponents it will be quite noticeable.

Anyway, I think Obama’s comments will do more harm than good for those that support Warnock. Walker supporters will dig their heels in and it will not bring anyone new to Warnock’s side. It even might cause fence-sitters, who are long-time Georgia college football fans, to vote for Walker.
