What about the many RINOs Trump endorsed. And a few worse than RINOs

“Though fiscally responsible, O’Dea is moderate on nearly every issue important to Coloradans. He favors same-sex marriage rights. He will opposes former President Donald Trump seeking the White House again. O’Dea wants to fight climate change and utility costs with all-the-above energy policies. He opposes repealing Obamacare’s protections for preexisting medical conditions. He wants better drug control at the border, yet compassionately favors citizenship for immigrants brought to the country as children…O’Dea stands out as the non-doctrinaire, get-it-done, pragmatic moderate Colorado needs.”

"Next month I’m going to vote for every candidate with a “R” after his name even if I have to hold my nose to do so."

Remember when you vote for a RINO they bring LOTS of baggage with them. meaning they replace real republicans. Which is how we lost in Arizona in 2020 ever after McCain was dead. Its better the dem take the office then lose the republicans that are the base of the party.

“If this guy wins the Republicans are going to sweep everything and his vote won’t usually be needed. I’d just as soon have him lose. No more Never Trump Repukes in the Senate”

NOPE, another RINO senate vote to keep McConnel and his gang in power.

You might want to reconsider. DeSantis has the Jeb Bush endorsement. Please clap about this.

The governor will make his decision himself.

We are never going to have a perfect legislative branch. Trump wasn’t the perfect president. I don’t like that O’Dea apparently wants to codify Roe v. Wade, but what are the chances of that if R’s have the Senate and the House, even with Biden still doddering around until 2024? I wish Colorado voters had chosen a better candidate, but Bennett and O’Dea are all they have left.

Don’t forget, when Republican/conservative voters stay home, the leftists have a much better chance of winning the down ticket, as well as the main attraction. If conservatives don’t get a foothold in the local and state elections, you are unlikely to see them in the federal ones (not to mention leaving local governance in leftist hands). The electoral aspect won’t change if Colorado doesn’t start voting for Republicans, even though they are RINOs.

I believe he stated previously that if Trump runs, he will not run.
I might be mistaken, maybe just a rumor.

“DeSantis can and should build his own identity as more than a Trump yesman.”
So, doing so by backing a Blatant RINO that supports Roe v. Wade among many other NOT Conservative positions is how Desantis will distinguish himself from Trump and MAGA?

A national codifying of Roe v Wade is not some fringe issue. 50 Yeats was spent on getting put at a state level and within 2 months of that happening this guy wants a federal law to guarantee Roe V Wade? How is that pragmatism? That is allowing a foothold into an issue you spent 50 years to rid. Tone Def to say the least. This is not where the party wants to go.

Shows how DeSantis is party over person. Bad move.

Yeah, it's about party.

I suppose everyone here forgot about Trump endorsing Romney.

"I like DeSantis but he should have stayed out of this."

Agreed. Not a good look.

May it be known from now that if Mitt gets through the primary the Rat is who I’d like to see win. Giving the party to these fools is foolish.

Blatant disloyalty to Trump? I think you’re priorities are amazingly out of order. In 2020, Trump got his nose out of joint and handed the Senate to the Democrats. But I can’t imagine him being as petty as you’re presuming him to be.

Nope. The damage a Repuke like Romney does when he votes to impeach Trump and gives “bipartisan “ wins to The current holder of the office is party defining.

If Trump gets back in, he’ll be glad he has one less Democrat senator to deal with. If Trump is president and O’Dea is a senator, Trump’s going to need people who can influence O’Dea in his direction.
