Give me a heads up when they advise civilians to leave New York.

Vladimir Putin illegally annexed last month

What "law" did he break?

Please don't give me some nonsense about "international law". Law requires a lawgiver, with the power to compel obedience.

How does the evacuation of civilians from Kherson vary from the concurrent evacuation of civilians from Nickoliev?

Obviously both sides are anticipating a major clash of forces.

Russian mothers abandoned by their idle husbands have found the silver lining to Vladimir Putin's military draft: turning their exes in for the draft to receive financial compensation.

The Russians know that Ukraine will not shell the columns of civilians that they mix in with their troops and supply trucks crossing the Denpier River.

BTW, wonder why none are allowed to flee the city to the Ukrainian lines. That was possible earlier. Wouldnt that hamper the Ukr offensive to have tens of thousands of civilians pouring into their area? The answer is obvious. These citizens of kherson are being kidnapped to Russia

Here is a good family video by a Ukrainian photographer living in Kherson when the Russians invaded. He was lucky to be able to escape north 3 months later. Educate yourself:

“On March 1 Dmytro Bahnenko, a journalist in Kherson, southern Ukraine, watched Russian tanks roll down his street. As his world, like many Ukrainians’, turned upside down, he secretly started filming everything around him, sensing history in the making, and sharing the footage with BBC Eye.

Over the next three months Dmytro records his city’s resistance. Acts of defiance, including large demonstrations are followed by a violent crackdown. The city changes. Food and medicine become scarce. Russian military vehicles marked with the “Z” speed up and down Kherson streets. Shelling is heard round the clock. Many people flee. Friends and prominent local people start to disappear - others are put through mock executions and tortured for information.

As the Russians make their intentions clearer, Dmytro and his wife Lidia struggle to shelter their five-year-old daughter Ksusha from what is happening. The documentary is filled with colourful detail of how the young family find ways of coping as their city is steadily stripped of its Ukrainian identity.

Dmytro realises just how dangerous his secret project is when a pro-Ukrainian priest he has been filming is kidnapped and tortured by unidentified men from the Russian security services”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJSzVW6ZYOA&t=11s

Of course. A lying Bolshevik like Putin will always use every dirty trick in the book. Including having his soldiers illegally in civilian clothes and hiding behind women and children. Incredibly, there is video from 2014 of Putin himself promising just such a thing.

Irrelevant horseshit, again Travis. For the eleven millionth time, you utter dumbass,

1. Baker’s UNOFFICIAL and UNSANCTIONED pledge to Gorbachev never made the final draft agreement. Gorbachev never requested it. He overstepped his remit.

2. The pledge was predicated on the Soviet Union remaining otherwise intact after German unification, with East Germany’s eastern border becoming the border between Germany and the USSR.

3. Get yourself out of retard land. Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia stopped being in the SOVIET territory when Russia formally, and internationally, announced that the Soviet Union had been disbanded.

4. Make your bloody mind up. Either Putin has a hard-on for restoring the USSR borders which by implication means he wants all those countries that joined NATO after 1999 put back into the Soviet side of a new Iron Curtain, or Russia is not the Soviet Union and the pig-headed vatnik retard can pound sand.

The simple answer is, the “civilians” being evacuated are not your average everyday Kherson citizens.

They are collaborators and their families, Russian implants, anyone else who took a Russian passport, and anyone who burned their Ukrainian passports.

Russia spent months trying to get people in Kherson to take the shilling, accept Russian citizenship, and renounce their Ukrainian citizenship.

Russia has no interest in evacuating anyone who didn’t do it. Its 60,000 evac recommendation has dropped to 50,000 and I’d be surprised if more than 25,000 go voluntarily.

Yep, that referendum result is really starting to look mightily fabricated. People who voted yes to Russia would rather stay in Kherson and wait for the Uke army (despite the risk of a blitzkrieg or a flood) than take the bribe of free accommodation anywhere in the Russian federation and evacuate with the vatniks.

You sound like some weasely Bureau of Indian Affairs honcho explaining to the old Sioux chief that, actually, that paper he signed with General So-and-So promising the tribal land rights "for as long as the sun, moon and stars were in the sky," was not actually a "real" treaty, but just a "statement of good intentions," and that is why all the blue-coat cavalry soldiers are there to "help" his tribe to move to "a better place for them, really."

Nobody, in the end, likes, respects, or will stick up for a lying weasel.

This is why the BRICs, Saudi Arabia, Iran, (imagine them on the same team!), Turkey, etc etc, are saying,

"Sorry Americano. We have figured out that your words have no meaning, you are just a lying weasel, screw you and your $USD."

ANYWAY, I always prefer to go to original primary sources, not "he said she said" as recounted by partisans decades later.

So here it is, or your reading enjoyment.

How retarded are you? Did you fail Grade School level English comprehension?

Your own bloody picture proves the assurance was given TO THE SOVIETS in relation to East Germany and Eastern Europe.

By 1993, every country in eastern Europe was an independent country (as was Russia itself) because the Soviet Union doesn’t exist.

Agreements made to the Soviet Union in respect of the borders of the Soviet Union ceased to apply the minute Belarus, Ukraine and Russia formally AND PERMANENTLY confirmed the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

Make your mind up.

Either Russia has been bitching like a kid who just didn’t get spanked enough about NATO expansion because it IS trying to restore the USSR footprint, and we should reject those demands because only a terrorist state would do something so retarded...

Or, Russia is not trying to restore the USSR footprint and it knew all along the demand is completely, utterly, incontravertibly without any merit whatsoever.

My money’s on the first option and every time anyone from Russia bitches about NATO expansion we should not have been saying “don’t poke the bear”, we should’ve dry-slapped them round the face and then washed their mouths out with really horrible tasting soap.

Because it’s horseshit. It was horseshit 30 years ago and it is still horseshit now.
