I believe little of what I read about this war. However, Russia has done this sort of thing before. It’s not unbelievable.
But I take it with a huge grain of salt.
Nobody goes to war with the army they want. But having to make do with the army he has, is leaving Vladimir Putin in something of a bind.
And no, nuclear tactical strikes are not a substitute for boots on the ground for securing territory. Boots that seem to be particularly reluctant to tread on the territory which is to be occupied.

Even if true, that does not mean that the Russian morale has not collapsed and that mutiny is not a concern. That possibility surely does exist. And it wouldn’t be surprising, considering the fact that Russia’s military members aren’t treated particularly well and things haven’t gone so well for them on the battlefield.
