What was the net result of those strikes? Almost no long term damage and new commitments by NATO and other countries to significantly bolster Ukrainian air defenses. Like just about every Russia has tried in their debacle, their effort has backfired.
Now today, Ukraine struck and shutdown the power grid of Belgorod Russia. Think about that for a second. Ukraine is successfully launching military strikes into the country that invaded it. If Russia was really operating with impunity, do you think they’d let that happen?
Lol...keep trying.
New Russian strikes inflict ‘serious’ damage on Ukraine energy facilities
KYIV: Russian strikes Tuesday on the central Ukraine region of Dnipropetrovsk did “serious” damage to energy facilities, the region’s head said, on the second day of massive missile salvos across Ukraine. “The Russians fired missiles at energy infrastructure in the Pavlograd and Kamian districts. There is serious destruction. Many settlements still do not have electricity,” the regional governor Valentin Reznichenko said on social media. The Ukrainian military’s southern command said Russian forces had fired missiles at the southern Mykolaiv and Odessa regions, also causing damage to energy infrastructure.
Try to keep up. Your article was from 11 October. Here’s an update 2 days later.
“Power has largely been restored across Ukraine following this week’s attacks by Russia on Ukrainian energy facilities, the head of the Ukrainian grid operator said on Thursday.”
If your relying on regime “news” sources for your information then its not hard to see why you think Ukraine is “doing well” and Russia isn’t.
Doesn’t change the fact Russia can turn off the lights in Ukraine with impunity.
Your article was from a regime news source.
Lol...the Arab News is published in Riyadh KSA, well outside the Anglo-sphere.
Keep trying Maverick...
Jokes on you. The article is from the AFP. Agence Free Press. And the source quoted in the article is Valentin Reznichenko. He’s a Ukrainian regional minister.
You suck at this.
Here’s an article from your preferred news source (AFP) describing events in the last 24 hours. According to the Russian source quoted in the article, Ukraine put out the lights in his city of 330,000. So it appears Ukraine can also turn off the lights with impunity. Oh, and destroy key and very strategic bridges. So is that also a sign that Russia is winning?
Actually, now that I think about it, based on your response on the other thread, you probably believe the Russians built the bridge to Crimea, at great cost and with much pride, so that the Ukrainians could blow it up, so that the Russians could spend even more money to rebuild it. Brilliant.
Lol...what you fail to grasp is the Arab News isn’t controlled by the West. They choose what they want to publish, the news isn’t being force fed to them.
In this case its a basic news article quoting a Ukrainian government official saying there was serious damage done to the power grid.
Two days later your 🤡🌎 sources say everything is working fine despite earlier statements to the contrary.
Meanwhile the objective tool used to track power outages in Ukraine is suddenly broken...go figure.
What the article says he said. “An electric substation... caught fire after a strike on Belgorod,” Gladkov said on Telegram, adding that it would take “up to four hours” to activate a backup system and restore power.
There is nothing to indicate the fire knocked out power to the entire city, so its pure exaggeration to say it did. In fact, only a few city districts lost power for a few hours.
Likewise, there's no empirical evidence to support your assertion that key bridges were 'destroyed'. I could post images of the Kerch Bridge in use today but at this point it would be casting pearls before swine.
