Radioactive coast minus liberal infestation equals ? The answer might be a positive.

“Pardon me for changing the subject, but was just reading this fellow’s blog, who maintains that the pipelines may have blow up due to the build up of methane hydrate crystals, apparently something happens in pipelines - especially those filled up with gas and sitting.”

One might be an accident. Two stretches that to extreme implausibility.

It was like 911. The first plane could have been a massive screwup. But when the second plane hit, I knew we were at war.

Like the Mother of All Bombs? That didn’t turn out so well.

And if that submarine was really that good wouldn’t it have been the subject of technothriller novel and movie? Along with the way a SEAL team got it to sink with all hands?

First paragraph states that Poseidon is a nuclear missile then the third paragraph states it a torpedo.

I was just about to call BS on this, but then I noticed it’s from MSN, the most trusted name in news evah!

So I, like, totally believe it now.

Totally.

The propaganda is cheaper and more ridiculous than a bad Hollywood adventure film.

I think the same people write it

NATO fears that its mission is now to test the Poseidon super torpedo, a projectile capable of traveling up to 10,000 kilometers underwater and then exploding near the coast to cause a radioactive tsunami.

After seeing the Russian army's performance in Ukraine, I cannot believe they have a torpedo capable of traveling 10KM .... I mean maybe they do, but what are the odds?

“Now, I think that is man’s natural state and character, and it’s rather surprising we have made it this far without a repeat performance.”

War is the default condition of mankind. The last 80 years of relative peace have been an aberration. 90% of mankind is so totally blinded by the normalcy bias cause by this period of “peace” that when, not if, another global war begins they won’t know whether to **** or go blind.

The new (Russian) submarine was launched in July and is now reportedly submerged in Arctic waters after its possible involvement in the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines...

Submerged in The Arctic Sea but attacked a pipeline in The Baltic?! That is really something.

Sounds like a movie title:

“Belgorod, carrier of the Weapon of Apocalypse”

Only leaks can expose this type of info.

Or it's just self-serving Russian propaganda that they just make up.

Reminds my of the infamous Scud missile. You fire it out of the trunk of your car and then go home and watch CNN to see where it hit!

What is it's power source? Would require a lot of diesel or other if conventional. Or is it internally nuclear powered itself?!

The torpedo is nuclear powered so can roam the oceans quietly at great depth for many years until activated.

Such a machine still requires maintenance and upkeep. Out there for years patrolling and waiting to be called upon / activated? Nah...

Sure Mike.

The trouble with MSN propaganda is they push it to the point of laughable, destroying any semblance of believability.

That would have to be the world’s smallest nuclear reactor propulsion system.

Not even spore forming bacterial can survive cobalt-60 radiation.

In my misspent youth we were doing radiation hardness studies to improve spacecraft reliability.

I'd process the chips and a colleague would irradiate them over night to 107 rads using a cobalt 60 source.

One night a black widow spider decided the holder would be a good substrate for a web.

Not only was it quite, quite dead, it crumbled when my friend touched it with his (not zircon encrusted) tweezers!

The allegation of possible involvement with the Nord Stream attacks are pure nonsense. The existence of the sub and its weaponry is a fact.
