They would be artillery launched by 152mm howitzer (RD-3, 2-2.5Kt) or a 203mm howitzer (RD-4, 2Kt). Reference: ones used in Japan were 15-16Kt.

How many were maintained and how well can best be answered by calculating how much of the maintenance funds the unit officers siphoned off. Probably have the same maintenance as the Moskva did - which was just enough to keep the ship looking good and seaworthy.

I believe that Putin is going to give the west a few days to contemplate his stark warnings and take the necessary step to start winding down their support for Ukraine.

It may be time for the USA or other allies to transfer some small nuclear weapons to the Ukrainian military. No ICBMs, just tactical weapons suitable for a strike on Sevastopol.

A significant portion of Russian culture comes from the Mongol hordess. You know - Genghis Khan?

Khan's sweep towards modern day Europe ground to a halt in what is now Ukraine and Poland.

Maybe we are learning why that happened.

You are correct, it was Cobalt not Cesium: “In interviews published posthumously, MacArthur said he had a plan that would have won the war in 10 days: “I would have dropped 30 or so atomic bombs . . . strung across the neck of Manchuria.” Then he would have introduced half a million Chinese Nationalist troops at the Yalu and then “spread behind us — from the Sea of Japan to the Yellow Sea — a belt of radioactive cobalt . . . it has an active life of between 60 and 120 years. For at least 60 years there could have been no land invasion of Korea from the North.” He was certain that the Russians would have done nothing about this extreme strategy: “My plan was a cinch.”

Lol, with that last sentence Kadyrov would make the perfect soccer commentator.

Pool would probably be a cooling pond in Zaporizhzhia NPP, just to make sure...

It looks like Kadyrov came up with that saying on his own. It’s an original. Who woulda thunk it?

It would be considered a war crime, on the same level as the Third Reich committed in WWII.
