“A quasi stable nuclear balance in the Eastern Pacific might be attainable for a while.”

Japan, Taiwan, and perhaps South Korea.

Well, we have not built a new system since the Trident D-5 missile and warheads which was back before the end of the cold war...

That's simply not true.

Under Trump, we just fielded the W76-II.

We're currently building the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD), which will start fielding next year. The GBSD has just been officially named the LGM-35A Sentinel and is a fully integrated launch, flight and infrastructure system equipped with the latest command and control functions. The Sentinel will replace all LGM-30G Minuteman IIIs by 2029 and is planned to be in service until the 2070s.

Finally, we just built the latest upgraded nuclear gravity bomb, which is deployable in a variety of aircraft, including the F-18, F-15EX, F-117, B2 and B-21. The B61-Mod 12, started production in 2020. The New B-21 stealth bomber will be reveled next week. You may laugh and say bombs are so 1940s, but as we lead the world in stealth aircraft, it is still a worthy weapon, and the bombs and aircraft have been steadily upgraded and redesigned substantially over the decades.

Oh well. I don’t know where you get your dates and propaganda, but you are welcome to your fantasies. Reality is somewhat different.

Maybe you would like to provide sources to document your claims. You do know that the B61-12 first production is delayed don’t you? B21 doesn’t yet exist? GBSD just blew up on the launch pad? And besides, none of this is actually a new capability.

FRiend, I provided links to each system. That’s called a “sourcing” in Free Republic.

Click on them or not, I really don’t care.

Ah popular Mechanics. First place I always go for defense information.

An alternative source for schedules you might consult is the Department of Energy Stockpile Stewardship and Management Plan.

You do know that nuclear weapons are built and maintained by the Department of Energy don't you? Do you see the problem now?

Here is what another of your sources says: The first test flight of the new ICBM [GBSD] is expected to occur in 2023, while service entry with the USAF is expected by 2029

Here is some more info US Missile Launch Test Ends in Explosion. PS: This says:"The Mk21A is designed to carry the W87 mod 1 warhead, which is slated to enter production in December 2029.

You can google the catalog of new Russian systems.

The worst place to be is where you think you have a nuclear deterrent and the other side - who has a large demonstrated capability-knows you don’t even if he is mistaken. You will way overplay a hand you shouldn’t have played at all. You don’t bluff about nukes. The downside is the end of your family, country and empire.

Indonesia could probably do it via cooperation with the Paks.

Long range missiles would be a stretch, but delivery via aircraft, not so much.

There is another, equally important aspect to this. Uk gave up its nukes on the promise of the West that they would be defended.
Never trust the promises of politicians.

Also, this fake Uk/Russia war is just that, fake. Had Zelynskyy followed thru on the Minsk agreement there would have been no fighting. But, BeijingBiden intervened to protect his access to money laundering and convinced the corrupt SOB to pick a fight with Russia.

Wait. I thought you said it exploded on the test launch? So if its first test launch is in 2023, how was that possible?

That was the Minotaur 2, btw. Read your damn article.

I really don’t care much for Russian propaganda. Why don’t you tell everyone about the virtues and might of the Sarmat 2, comrade?

“Indonesia could probably do it via cooperation with the Paks.”

Yeah, I can see that. Indonesia, which is the world’s most populous moslem country, coordinating with Pakistan, one the world’s most unstable moslem countries.

The warhead is scheduled to “enter” production in 29 if you paid attention. The system will not replace all Minutemen missiles by FY 29 as was your claim.
