Smoke and mirrors. Many of his negatives were within his own party. People there were dissatisfied that he didn't do enough liberal agenda stuff. Now that he is spending us out of inflation and giving students a free ride, they love him.

The conservative opposition has stayed solid. The only true measure of a shift in the polls is in the independents. If they start swinging towards supporting him, we are in trouble.

PS There was a Trafalgar poll out yesterday that had him at 38% after a brief surge. They are the only pollsters that got 2016 right.
