So basically the DOT is the CDC of vehicles? You know, lying and misleading via, dare I say it? Mis/dis/mal-information! Say it ain't so buttplug. And, there is plenty about EVs they aren't broadcasting that folks should know. Butt, save the planet. The day the climate STOPS changing is gonna be a REALLY bad day!

There aren’t enough Rare-earth metals in the ENTIRE world to make half of the batteries for the cars we’re required to buy before 2035.

I have 2 brothers with EV’s. I asked what are they going to do with the batteries when they died. Silence, no one thought long term. Great for hype and market production. Lithium Ion batteries are not at this time recyclable. That will be quite the dump, and that is apparently environmentally friendly. I like my 400 HP molar engine more and more.

It’s not like you can cheaply and expediently swap batteries when they’re no longer working. Blowing them up may be cheaper

Guy on my block keeps his Tesla outside his garage for fear of burning his house down.
My house is very similar to his in layout - and my electric bill have been huge. His must be horrible.

“The electric Ford Lightning, for example, is a whopping 6,500 pounds.”
So basically 50% heavier than the F-150 that the Lightning is just an electric version of. If you remember your high school physics, that means 50% more force in a collision as an F-150 at similar speed. I’m pretty sure they haven’t redesigned all the safety features, crumple zones, etc on the chassis to account for that.

Yeah, lithium is a poisonous heavy metal, like lead. So you aren’t just taking that to the local dump.

Oh that’s phase 2 after most have EVs. Then they tell them they aren’t allowed to drive them because they are unsafe. They need to nerf the batteries to X amount of mass. Then they will only go about 30 miles per charge.
