Since this outrage is being posted again I will post my detailed response again.
You may want to copy this for reference.
Every FFL sale is already recorded in two ways, one temporary and one permanent.
The “Brady Check” is supposed to be temporary and the record of it at the NICS level destroyed after ninety days.
The form 4473 “Brady Check” has to be retained by the FFL dealer for twenty years.
All Bound Book entries are permanent until end of business, at which time ALL of those records are sent to ATF.
Despite specific prohibitions on creating a central firearms registry ATF is busy doing exactly that via OCR digitizing of all Bound Books in their possession.
This gets even easier for them when dealers respond to the harassment of frequent “Forward trace request” by going to digital records.
ATF claim their registry activity is legal as it is not searchable.
Of course it is only a couple of keystrokes to make that database searchable and shared.
So this CC coding is just one more straw on the Camels back.
But it is also the one that is most easily avoided.
Pay cash as many have said.
Or use Discover card. I have personally confirmed that Discover is not a party to this sedition.
There are probably other smaller credit card companies who are not jumping aboard as well.
If a significant number of us would cancel the sedition cards and switch to Discover or other companies not a part of this feculence it would be noticed, and could get the tracking rescinded.
CC companies are still more loyal to profit than Woke/PC garbage.
Sure sounds like the makings of a gun registry to me... which I believe violates the 2nd Amendment!
Is The International Organization for Standardization a part of Klaus Schwab’s Nazi Empire ?
This whole thing sounds Naziesk to me. Also, an attempt to shut down internet sales of arms and ammo. You can’t pay cash over the internet. It will not stand before any honest court. Use their trick …. Sue the he!! Out of them.
” such as a domestic extremist building up an arsenal “
Would buying 1000 rounds be a suspicious activity? I usually buy in bulk.
If I were a bad guy up to nefarious actions, I would purchase the weapon with cash. If I were a felon and not allowed to purchase a weapon I would get it "on the street."
What this is really about is a gun registry and who has them, so we can take them away in the future.
Who voted for the credit card companies to report us exercising our BIRTHRIGHT to FedGov? NOBODY did. This is FASCISM.
Cash is king…
I quit using the credit card years ago about the same time I cut the cable. I have a prepaid credit card that I use for on-line purchases. Otherwise it’s cash or check. I also try to avoid stores without cashiers.
