Ukrainian troops also captured few Russian 152mm 2s3 howitzer left behind by retreating Russian forces during the Kharkive offensive. Russian forces have abandoned several tanks due to either their equipments failure to roll, mechanical issues, or fuel shortages. A 2016 model abandon Russian T-72B3 is seen in one video because to faulty tracks.
Ukrainian troops also captured two Russian BM-21 grads and one Ural truck in the Kharkiv oblast. Ukraine also captured one 1L261 Zoopark-1 counter-battery radar system and countless no of rifle ammunition, hundreds of anti tank weapons, automatic grenade launchers. They also manage to captured a MT-LB multi-purpose, fully amphibious, tracked armored fighting vehicle.

I sat and watched German news last night, with quality video of a drive through some village (from Saturday). Here was a soccer-field sized area...maybe six tanks and a dozen APCs, just parked (Z-lettering on them). Simply wasn’t enough fuel for them to be brought with the retreat.
Hard to judge just how many vehicles were ‘flipped’ in this retreat. Even if they lost forty tanks this way, it’s a pretty fair loss. Ukrainians will refuel them and go right back into operation against the Russians.
My guess is that most of the mech recovered will be stuff that wasn't working and that was set for repair. Maybe some towed assets, etc., might have been captured in working condition, but if you have a usable tank, BMP, BTR, etc., you'd probably flee in that, right?
Wonder who gets the scrap steel concession. There must be over 30,000 tons of high quality steel wreckage littering the Ukraine. Armored vehicles 10-60 tons each with over 1,000 said to be destroyed.
A fair assessment I think. But those will provide a lot of spare parts as well.
The last words the Russians heard from the Ukrainians were “Tanks a million for the presents”.
They better check them for booby traps.🤔

Don’t mind me.
There is a massive domestic surveillance machine in the US modelled off the old East German Stasi. I wrote a ton about my own personal experience with it, as well as where it had made it into the news below. Please check it out, as I would bet it is running surveillance on most Freepers.

“but if you have a usable tank, BMP, BTR, etc., you’d probably flee in that, right?”
You wouldn’t flee in Russian military tanks & trucks if you are putting on civilian clothes quitting as a soldier in the Russian army. Intercepted phone calls are reporting this as well as Russian soldiers shooting themselves in leg or shoulder.
They may prefer to steal a car and not be a target.
I am sure many are rigged/booby trapped
Ukraine War: ‘Ukrainian forces on a roll’ as ‘panicked’ Russians retreat

Sky’s Deborah Haynes reports from the newly liberated town of Zaliznychne in Kharkiv province.

It's "tough" only if the listener is too dense and incapable of understanding that the (true) statement "The Ukrainians have destroyed lots of Russian armor" and/or "The Russians have lost massive amounts of armor" is NOT equivalent to the (false) assertion "The Russians thus have absolutely no more armor left that they could lose."
The Ukrainians have inflicted devastating losses upon the Russians. Further, Russian cowardice / unwillingness to fight, the sheer incompetence of Russian leadership, and the catastrophic state of Russian equipment and/or abysmal Russian supply logistics have been responsible for further massive losses.
This does not preclude the possibility of there still being large amounts of Russian matériel still waiting to be destroyed by Ukrainian forces or abandoned by retreating Russian troops.
Regards,
Why are you "sure" of that?
Can you link to any articles or reports of Ukrainian soldiers being killed or wounded by boobytrapped Russian booty?
Or is this merely a case of "wishful thinking" on your part?
Regards,
Don’t care. Not my monkeys, not my circus.
