Chris Christie must think that the voters are idiots. Maybe he thinks that because some people actually voted for him before his true character became widely known.

The DOJ is never in a situation where they have "No Choice". They have shown time and time again that they make choices about who to prosecute on a daily basis. And staging giant raids to arrest senior citizens like Roger Stone who would have just showed up with his attorney if the FBI placed a call to his attorney shows that the DOJ chooses to raid certain people's homes for political purposes.

Chris Christie may be used to gaslighting the locals in New Jersey in the old days but it won't work anymore.
