That’s actually not true, several were charged with and pled guilty to seditious conspiracy.

—”NM has the worst genetic stock in the nation.”

Or maybe not.

A friend from New Mexico accepted a job offer in Chicago...

Moves up here and goes to the Illinois Sec of State office to change his driver’s license.

The women clerk examines his NEW MEXICO driver’s license and asks “is NEW MEXICO part of the United States?”

That was years ago, if you ask about it; stand back!
He is still pissed about it.

Such can only be done via an appeal to the insurrection clause of the 14th. Since Congress removed the laws providing federal enforcement of that in the late 1800s, with the only exceptions being for certain persons now long dead (although possibly still on some Democratic voter roles) no Federal action to do so is possible until Congress acts to provide one. However state level enforcement of that clause of the 14 remains theoretically possible and Marc Elias has corruptly pursued that against multiple GOP candidates this cycle. This is the first, to my knowledge, time he’s gotten anyone to go along with his scheme. As such prompt legal action to overturn it is indicated as the left will clearly try to expand it. Ideally overturn this bogus ruling in a way that still allows its use once the true insurrection of 2020 election fraud can be proven. At which time scads of candidates, judges and elected officials on the left deserve to have it applied.

You’re right, it’s not an insurrection. He was however convicted of a misdemeanor for entering Capitol grounds on January 6. This lawsuit was brought by CREW which is the Left’s answer to Judicial Watch. They argued he was disqualified from office under the fourteenth amendment. They were the ones who sued Trump over emoluments.

He needs to appeal this. This isn’t even about Couy Griffin, it’s about keeping Trump off the ballot. This is a test case.

Sounds like a presumption of guilt, before trial
I thought that unconstitutional thought process only existed in New York State ?

If you knew anything about the demographics of New Mexico, you might understand their Leftist leanings. If you drive down the East West Interstate that borders Albuquerque and take a turn on the North South Interstate towards Santa Fe you are in the Center of leftist leaning voters from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. That particular population Geographic is the Heart Bed of the American Hippy Drug Culture. Whether you stop in Albuquerque, New Madrid or Santa Fe that culture is alive and well and has a huge influence on the voting population there. Because New Mexico is sparsely populated in other areas the Albuquerque through Santa Fe Leftist corridor controls the State vote.

Probably should have spelled “Hippie” with “ie” instead of “y”.

We were asked for our passports when we moved from Farmington, NM to Dallas, TX.

Federal enforcement of the 14th Amendment’s prohibition of holding Federal office for officials who engaged in rebellion or insurrection did not even last five years.

The 14th amendment was ratified in 1868 and Alexander Stephens, former Vice President of the Confederate States of America, who had been imprisoned in 1865 for his role in the war, was elected to the US Congress in 1873.

That’s a Lefty legal operative, not a “judge”.

In fairness, I’m from Ruidoso and am not sure Farmington is in the USA.

The culprit is District Judge Stooge Francis Mathew, Democrat Party legal operative.

Francis Joseph Mathew is a district court judge stooge in the First Judicial District of New Mexico.

He was appointed on January 11, 2013, by RINO Governor Susana Martinez to replace Barbara J. Vigil, who was elected to the New Mexico Supreme Court in 2012.

He was elected to a full term on the court in 2014, which will expire on December 31, 2020.

I never understood why New Mexico is an ultra-lib state surrounded by conservative states. It would be akin to placing Alabama in New England. New Mexico is more New England than Old West.
