“Newsweek has been unable to independently verify these claims and has reached out to Russia’s foreign ministry and Ukraine’s defense ministry for comment.”
In fairness to Russia this is a normal practice in every military.

The medic responded: "Well, if it had been an inch or two the left, you would be going home in a bag.
side note: Some guys got purple hearts for such wounds (John Kerry?) My brother said that after seeing guys with severe wounds and losses of limbs, there was no way he could wear a purple heart for a scrape.

As I click through videos and articles, I’ve noticed that some channels and publishers regularly publish things, that if true, would mean the war is practically over. Then, weeks or months later, nothing much has changed. In the course of thirty minutes, you can find articles in equal measure breathlessly saying Russia, or Ukraine is winning, and the war is practically finished. I’ve learned what and who not to waste my time with. For this article, I only clicked to read the comments.
You have convinced me Snake! Not! You are relentless in your Baghdad on propaganda, I will give you that.
From the Bible (NIV)
2 Samuel 5: 6 The king and his men marched to Jerusalem to attack the Jebusites, who lived there. The Jebusites said to David, “You will not get in here; even the blind and the lame can ward you off.” They thought, “David cannot get in here.” 7 Nevertheless, David captured the fortress of Zion—which is the City of David.

News publications have slid from multiple sources, to multiple anonymous sources, to a single anonymous source (trust us!!), to someone else’s anonymous source, sometimes twice removed (ex. Pres. Trump supposedly trying to seize control of his limo from the Secret Service as breathlessly reported by the media. The “witness” being someone, who heard from someone, who heard from someone else.)
What a crock that article is…everything is: likely, highly likely, probably, unable to verify, etc, etc.
Typical Newsweek yellow journalism.

This is about taking civilians out of the hospitals and homeless shelters isn’t it?
“So, recently, representatives of the Russian occupation army began to arrive at local hospitals in the city and forcefully ‘discharge’ patients.
“Men of military age with various diseases or injuries, including those wounded during hostilities who are undergoing treatment, fall under such an extract.”
“””This claim from Ukraine comes after reports that Russian authorities were recruiting the homeless to enlist in the military.
The homelessness charity Nochlezhka said that employees from the Frunzensky district administration in Russia’s second city had visited a shelter on August 17.”””
ROFL
at least you trolls have a sense of humor.
recruit the zombies.recruit the zombies.recruit the zombies.
That is true, generally speaking. Wounded soldiers are normally sent back to their units after recovering from their injuries.
There is a twist here though, in that apparently in this case all Russian servicemen have to voluntarily sign a contract to serve in Ukraine - I suppose this is automatic for the professional “contract” soldiers, but may not be so for conscripts, which are the majority. If a wounded veteran has exceeded his contractual tour of duty as a conscript, I can see the government making a special effort to get men in hospital to re-up for Ukraine service.
Why can’t we get reports from objective sources?
It’s either reports from Kyiv or from Moscow we’re reading about most of the time. If it’s from Kyiv, the Russians are losing, if it’s from Moscow, the Ukrainians are losing…
