The company I work for is a “work anywhere” company, meaning you can work 100% remote full-time.
And I love it.

They created the work-at-home problem in the first place by stupidly following the guidelines of the CDC and Dr. Fauci.
In manufacturing that’s can’t be done. You can’t take a Swiss lathe, hydrofluoric acid or a chemical fume hood home with you. We’ve never closed.
Yup
Now they are angry at the workers who embraced their work at home mandates. They were mandates for many workers.
Come back to the office or get fired, period, end of story.
If they think they can just replace all those who won’t come back to the office...their market of potential workers is going to remember how they abused their employees with mask, testing and vax mandates during Covid.
In the manufacturing game as well.
At best I can do half of my job remotely.
Good luck getting replacement, especially with your shit attitude.
You absolutely nailed it.
Only if the non-compliant contingent isn’t too large of course.
I drive a school bus.
Looks like I hit a nerve did I?? You must be part of the group that’s terrified to go out in public without wearing six masks. SMH, buzz off. I’m done with you.
C-sweet trying to put the toothpaste back into the WFH tube. Good luck
No, my job is 100% remote forever.
I just don’t like assholes like you.
No knothead you just made a massive mistake, employees are not slaves, they can and will just up and leave.
I do more and better work when working from home.
My employer has already redesigned and redecorated my in-office space to locate other workers/functionality there.
I'm not going back. It has nothing to do with covid or masks. I hate the socializing going on next to my cube, the walking traffic 2 feet away from my chair, the 30-mile commute through a major city. It would mean a pay cut to require us to go back into the office.
Elon Musk gave that ultimatum to his employees if I remember correctly.
Heard reports a long time ago that workers have “demands” before they will consider coming back to work. More money as a conversation starter.
Maybe pads to put on their desks to fit their shoe heels as they relax and tilt back their X-chairs.
Four coffee breaks each half day shift. Company to provide free fresh ground coffee.
And do what? Wait for the fedgov to shuffle them money to survive?
This whole remote/return to work is a ticking time bomb waiting to get ugly for us all.
