So true. And it’s so obvious. Did NONE of these EU types think this through? Did they believe so strongly that their sanctions would bring Russia to its knees, that they never considered the possibility that Russian government might not collapse and accept their demands?
Even a child holding its breath in a tantrum realizes pretty quickly this is a losing strategy.
So we are now at the ‘some must sacrifice for the public good’ stage.

And remember, the whole Russia-Ukraine disagreement started with the Ukraine stealing Russian gas headed for Europe. And the Nordstream construction blockages were to force the Russians to allow the Ukrainans to do what the Ukrainians were doing.

Those two statements are correct.
A little more clarity would be gained by pointing out that Russia's financing and building Nordstream 1&2 was a Capitalistic, Free Market method of defeating a Ukrainian Socialist/Organized Crime goal of stealing and controlling all Russian natural gas, and
Once Nordstream 1&2 were built an operational, Germany intended to stab Russia in the back and become the new Socialist/Organized Crime country to steal and control all Russian natural gas.
Poor Germany, it didn't work out that way.

They can’t. You can’t force someone in another country to sell stuff to you at a price you want. Especially since it’s a seller’s market. Europeans are suffering from delusions of superiority.
