The drop in life expectancy is most likely caused by the Covid vaccine. According to Dr Theo Schetters in the Netherlands, each shot has a mortality risk of approximately 1 in 800.

Covid had no effect on life expectancy, since the vast majority of covid deaths came among those already aged. The real killer is the fentanyl epidemic which has taken out hundreds of thousands in their twenties and thirties. That is what lowers the average.

Amazingly, NYC is one of the most fit cities in the country. My daughter lives there and when we visit, we walk for miles out of necessity. You see very few overweight people there.
