Maybe, but I’m pretty sure he got reelected since he did great things for JC when it was 100% shithole.
Very few Russians (some new Poles), growing number of Indians, Filipinos, but primarily the newcomers are Latin Americans (with Peruvians making up a large number of them).
I think there are still a good number of Americans in your former area; a friend shops at the Wal-Mart up there because the one in our own town is nuts (in the meadowlands between Newark and Jersey City).
Right; Harrison is now seeing some gentrification along the PATH line, but otherwise is “North South America” at this point. When I was younger there were a lot of Irish and Poles there.
It seems he started the revitalization there, and it has been building since. He was viewed as a breath of fresh air after a lot of Dem corruption.
