When I was dating my second wife, I found that gifts of rolls and rolls of toilet paper were better than flowers.
During a REFORGER Exercise in the mid ‘70’s I was with a small detachment of Americans attached to a Dutch unit. Toward the end of the exercise we ended up on a British Kaserne in Paderborn, Germany.
The Brit toilet paper was waxed, so that in emergencies it could be used again. The Brits showed us how to fold it for use to prevent paper cuts. Amazingly, it had the Crown’s watermark to keep people from stealing it.
There are many Bidet lid add-on’s available which removes the necessity of toilet paper all together, been using one for nearly 10 years. Saw one in CostCo last week but several on Amazon. I would opt for the electric ones since cold water on the bum is not desirable plus once you get used to a heated lid it is hard to go back.
This really isn’t anything new ... I belong to some “eco-friendly” social media websites (mostly relating to gardening, making bone broth, home-made/healthier foods) and they’ve been pushing “family cloths” for years.
Basically it’s cut up squares of old baby blankets, T-shirts or soft toweling that each family member has in a specific color/print. They are placed in diaper pails after use & get washed separately on the sanitizing cycle when needed. Always seemed a bit ikky, to me, but I did consider it when we were scouring stores for TP.
In your dreams!
In most muslim countries I lived in a visited in the past decade, your choice for relief is a hole in the floor with porcelain pads so you know where to put your feet when you pinch a deuce.
As for toilet paper, it was non-existent. A hose and nozzle like you would have on the deck of your kitchen sink was all the cleaning you got. And the joy of looking forward to walking around for an hour with a wet ass.
How can you tell that you’re in a Scottish neighborhood?
By the toilet paper....hanging on the clothesline.
“After use, collect pieces in a hamper until laundry day, recommended twice a week. Machine wash with hot water. Tumble dry low or air dry”
The Greenies aren’t going to like this — using precious water and energy — gotta watch that carbon footprint! (sarc)
This is just disgusting and icky! I’m going to stock up on more tp!
I blasted out an email:
“Gift idea for liberal friends this season.”
Far cry from tossing it out the window into the streets, eh UK?
In the meantime.....
Just get a bidet,gezzz.🙄
