Yup. Bellingcat has been proven to be CIA/MI6 disinformation ops. Worse than quoting Rachel Madcow.
But their ops is sophisticated. Designed to look like good info, maybe some sources, but the purpose is to manipulate opinions and behaviors.
From some comments here, they somewhat succeeded.
