Churchill refused to negotiate. After a certain point, he was culpable for what happened to his people.

What was there to negotiate with a man who was repeatedly telling people he planned to start WW2, and that all attempts to negotiate with him would be used and abused to benefit his campaign of recreating a German empire? A man who would go on to make a deal with the Soviets against western nations, agreeing to divide Europe in half with Joseph Stalin?

Didn’t Churchill lose the 45’ election?

The Tories lost the election, because Churchill was the only thing they had going for them. Meanwhile Labour articulated a vision for Post-War Britain. If it had been an election like we have for President, Churchill probably wipes the floor with Atlee, but people vote for the Party, not the man.

“Ukraine, blessed with abundant resources and an industrial base courtesy of the USSR, has had 22 years to fashion themselves into a credible country. They botched it completely”

It’s a good thing that Russia is such a stunning success having vast reserves of oil, natural gas, and other natural resources that Ukraine could only dream of. (/sarcasm)

PS. Reagan also opposed Russia.

Once the Cold War was over, Reagan advocated a Marshall Plan for Russia to try to bring them into the Western World. But Foggy Bottom wanted to rub Russia's nose in it. And Bush and Clinton obliged them.

The US has given and does give aid to Russia.

Russia expired as the Soviet Union after Reagan left office.

It is a fantasy that he wanted some guy like Putin to dictate such absurd Russian conduct.

The point was to make it so that a guy like Putin wouldn’t come to power.

We did so much to help Yeltsin.

It’s absurd to pretend we provoked them.

We could have buried them like they promised to do to us for decades.

Yes, you should be for using a child to promote your own agenda.

Just like the left.

Er, and this all does not apply to Putin?

Herr Hitler was all reasonable in May-June 1940. He fooled some people at the time (Lord Halifax for one, who almost became PM during that crisis).

I see. So now it's about the children, huh?

What about these children?

Slave labor in a coal pit mine just south of the border in the failed state of Mexico.

Maybe the US should take care of it, huh?

For the children?

Nobody believes any of this.

It is like the invasion of Kuwait, when the innocent nurse testified about Saddam’s forces taking babies out of incubators and throwing them on the floor to die, so they could steal the incubators. And then we find out she was the daughter of the ruler, and never saw any of it, and it never happened, and it was all made up.

Now we get the Ghost of Kiev, who doesn’t exist, complete with footage from a video game, so these thieves can ship another $10 billion of US taxpayer dollars there, with 10% set aside for the big guy.

All of this is BS, and nobody cares about Ukraine.

Personally I think Putin is a probably a good guy, just off these BS posts.

Globo would kill Z if he didn’t do their bidding.

Oh, yeah. And, the US President killed an entire family in Kabul, Afghanistan because a member of their family was collecting some drinking water for them.

(In an attempt to distract from letting 13 of his finest warriors get murdered on behalf of his mistakes.)
