I'm not a neocon. I've been a nationalist conservative for over two decades. Supporting Ukraine doesn't make me a neoconservative, globalist, or Biden supporter. The US and NATO have stood behind Ukraine based on
1. The
Budapest Memorandum, where the US, UK, and Russia promised to protect Ukrainian sovereignty in return for Ukraine giving up nuclear weapons. How is any country going to trust us or disarm, if we can't be trusted?
2. Since 1945, Europe has been relatively peaceful because invasions of other countries and annexation thereof was out of bounds. Putin's use of Hitlerite language calling Ukraine illegitimate cannot stand.
3. Putin has called the dissolution of the USSR the greatest disaster in world history. Invasion maps of Ukraine showed the plans to invade Moldova too. A war in Moldova could easily bring in their co-ethnics in Romania, which is a NATO country. And then we have the three Baltic Republics, which are part of NATO, and which KGB Russia desires.
It was in the US national interest to support Ukraine and having done so, a loss for Ukraine is a loss for America and NATO.

LEts say that the US pressed Russia. Taht doesn’t justify their invasion of Ukraine or your desire for the US to lose to Russia and China. You remind me of people screaming about US support for China and Britain in 1939

Russia viewing Ukraine as an existential threat explains it, in more ways then many of you Neocons want to admit or acknowledge. Bet.
