Don’t ever compare Trump with Biden. It elevates the latter to a level he is unfamiliar with. It degrades Trump to a level he never deserved.

If the Rockwell family requested the paintings be returned, then that was a correct decision. However, putting up POTATUS pics in their place is just tacky, tasteless decorating.It also shows how tone-deaf Biden is.
It's 2022. Everyone knows the White House walls are to be adorned with the artwork of marginalized BIPOC trannies.

Those illustrations are large drawings that hung in the West Wing hallway near the communications office. They depict people waiting to see the president; and reporters rushing to a row of phone booths to call in a story. Rockwell had once visited FDR, and made the drawings from his impressions.
The story I heard when I toured there was that some staff member took the rolled-up drawings home in the 50s, and they stayed in his attic for a number of years, but were given to the WH after he died. But that doesn't add up to the Rockwell family requesting them back. Who knows who's the true owner?

My understanding is the family initiated the request to have the paintings returned.
But - I bet they were concerned about 'woke' visitors to Biden's WH vandalizing them... just a guess.

Right. Some Rockwell paintings were just on loan. One donated by Steven Spielberg to the White House is apparently still on display.
There’s also the Norman Rockwell Museum which has loaned artwork.
Rockwell art can go for millions. Not surprising that some longtime owners might want to cash in, especially since America’s elites now hate Rockwell’s America.
