I just watched it and seem to remember something about "smiley face murders" or something like that in old news. I didn't pay much attention to those before. But it seems they were drownings suspected to have been murders.

He certainly included drug culture in his songs. Has a song called “When I Die” ... Seems quite the nihilist.

One of his songs refers to the name of late rapper “The Notorious B.I.G.” but apparently the name has since become slang for “shot in the gut.” That rapper died in 1997 but the slang lives on.
