More interesting question to me is how much time would she get for taking a shotgun to his middle when he gets out? Would she also get 7 years or a temp insanity plea and be out in about 2. To me it would be worth it. I can stand on my head for that long.

I bet if the mom decided to go Death Wish on the perps, Alvin Bragg would push for life imprisonment. Heck, he might even ask for a one-time exception to the de facto abolition of the death penalty in New York State. Afflict the good and succor the evil seems to be the motto of today’s Democrats.

Timely advice. Even in the worst days of the 90’s crack wars, NYC prosecutors were *never* like this. It takes time for bad guy behavior to catch up to the fact that (1) they are unlikely to be caught, (2) if caught, they are unlikely to be convicted and (3) if convicted, they are likely to get a slap on the wrist. Once the realization finally dawns, NYC will become Tijuana on the Hudson - the murder capital of America.
