The WEF claims are largely kookery. The Europeans are actually and very grudgingly re-opening coal-fired facilities to deal with the Russian gas problem. The main problem in the US is that with no real President to react to political heat, the disastrous grip of eco-extremists that is strangling US energy production is not relaxed. Even a political flatworm would have reacted to the mounting political pressure by now, but with an impotent figurehead to take all the heat, the extremist Dem factions running the bureaucracy, strangling the US economy, and keeping the border open see no reason to change policy.
The only real danger is that the Russians will get frustrated floundering around Ukraine and do something foolish. With no President in charge, the Pentagon will simply run its contingency plans without consulting the clown show at the White House or Biden's Delaware basement.
Why are we doing this?
Getting rid of Putin will solve nothing. The real hardliners are waiting in the wings. Going into Ukraine was not a decision only Putin made.
