Lithuania has extended the blockade on goods heading for Kaliningrad sanctioned by the EU to also include road transports and not just rail. The U.S. has announced that it is backing Lithuania in its spat with Russia over the blockade.

I'm old enough to remember when the Russians ran out of artillery shells a few weeks ago.

And so are all the shell-shocked and pulverized Ukies in the Donbas.

'Member? 'Member?

The Russian nukes aren't gonna work, neither, we're told...

RuZZia is too weak to fight WW III.

RuZZia is too weak to fight WW II.

RuZZia is too weak to fight WW I.

I suspect that what USGov wants is to start WWIII in Europe, get beaten but in the process get all our combat-ready troops (who tend to lean Right) killed or incapacitated, and then blame the loss on “domestic subversion” and use it as a pretext to ramp up domestic repression of the Regime’s political enemies.

Why do I have the notion that Lithuania is doing as told by the US? Per Neocon warmongers

Russia invades another country and the "Neocons" are the warmonger?

So you want a siege of a million civilians?
Because they’re Russian?

NATO member Lithuania has just ‘violated its treaty obligations’ and denied Russia rail access to Kaliningrad, which could force Russia to trip NATO’s trip wire.....blockades are acts of war...Lithuania admits it’s blockading Kaliningrad because of the NATO guarantee...Lithuania would not have stoked aggression towards Russia at such a time unless it was nudged by more powerful forces

“RuZZia is too weak to fight WW III.”

You claimed Russia couldn’t fight this long, so your opinions are nothing but childish conjecture.

Well, I guess that is Lithuania’s answer to Russia’s threats.

> the risk of this escalating is 0 ... Russia has already got its hands full in the Eastern Ukraine, and has no wish to fight NATO <

I understand your point. I assigned a risk of 3/10 (which might be a bit high) due to the chances of an accidental spark. As you noted, there is no way Putin would sit down with his generals and plan an invasion of Lithuania.

On the other hand, no one thought the events of June 1914 in Serbia will spiral out of control as they did.

Yes, they want to widen the war.
The Ukraine isn’t an ally or our concern.
Why aren’t you bitching about Africa and half of South and Central America?
Where don’t you want war?

Billions to Ukraine, missiles that can reach Russia, drones; if the roles were reversed and Russia was funding Mexico with same this would be viewed as act of war. Russia is basically using a bleed Ukraine approach while preparing for NATO encounter. If Russia is viewed as too “weak”, they have nothing to lose.

“WE NOW HAVE FR’S OFFICIAL “JUMP THE SHARK” MOMENT”

I figured this would sail over the head of some people here.

By the way, I hear that PUTIN is about to win a HUGE VICTORY over Canada on the Gas Turbines:

We can’t even get baby formula on the shelves. Are we ready to fight a war?

Imagine what would happen in downtown Chicago, Philadelphia, LA, NY, Oakland, etc... when gasoline and food are rationed or disappear entirely?

They war will be in the USA itself.

This was exactly what Reagan’s ambassador to Soviet Union warned against. Admission to NATO would encourage such countries to act recklessly and make alliance less safe, rather than more safe.....further what are they hoping to achieve by blockading Kalingrad other than to start WW3?

The attack on the gas platforms yesterday, an attack on a refinery this morning, and now this escalation. Desperately begging for a military response from Russia.

You have things a bit backwards. Russia's invasion of Ukraine was the military response. Russia is not the victim here.

Yes, what concerns me is that the people driving this Russian opposition are not being careful with the consequences.

It’s as if the Biden administration is determined to drive us into an actual (as opposed to a proxy) war with Russia.

NATO is not bound to respond to a crisis intentionally provoked by a single member.

You think NATO should be backing Turkey’s invasion of Syria and war on the Kurds?
