Lithuania has extended the blockade on goods heading for Kaliningrad sanctioned by the EU to also include road transports and not just rail. The U.S. has announced that it is backing Lithuania in its spat with Russia over the blockade.

That’s what it looks like to me, too. I don’t know if it’s just a hopeless disorganized administration that has no idea what its policy is. Or of the powers around the President have decided that a mid-term war is good for their ability to keep their jobs and their power. Or some weird combination of the two.

In any event, unless we hit the brakes hard, young Americans are going to die in droves before this is over. Vietnam was my generation’s war. And I guarantee we do not want to refight any version of that war.

Americans were being killed by Iraqis armed with weapons WE SENT HIM IN THE 1980S WHEN HE FOUGHT IRAN; I don’t believe anything you posted about what they “found” there. He was opposed by religious fanatics, and kept a lid on extremism there (women and non-Muslims were quite safe there until we involved ourselves).

9/11 was a Saudi attack (15 of 19 hijackers); we spilled American blood propping up their monarchy.

We can’t point fingers after we had a part in killing millions in Southeast Asia, and in the 90s we bombed Serbia to keep a president’s sexual indiscretions out of the headlines.
