Why does Trump do things like this?
It was enough to just say “I endorse Kevin McCarthy for another term’. He didn’t have to go so over the top by calling McCarthy “Outstanding”.
Trump hurts the MAGA cause when he praises those milksop Republicans who openly fight against conservatives.
In KMs district, is there a reasonable alternative?
What will really count is who will Trump endorse for Speaker. Perhaps himself?
Since no pubbie of any standing is running against karen mccarthy, this is just another notch in Trump's "endorsement gun".
Sometimes Trump embarrasses himself with these lame "endorsements".

Another speaker from CA (a RINO at that) is just wrong. I will not support it for that reason alone.
“Underwhelming” is the most charitable accolade that could be applied to McCarthy.
**I would much prefer that Trump state, “I endorse McCarthy because he’s the least bad California Republican in that Congressional district”.**
That is a perfect response and so like 2015 Trump. It would send the message that yeah, you got my endorsement but don’t mess it up. I’m afraid many of these questionable endorsements will do exactly that. Hope I’m wrong.
The Prez knows things we do not know. Cut him some slack. He knows what he is doing. IMHO
This endorsement of McCarthy truly shows that President Trump will have more RINOS around him this next administration. Remember last Trump Administration? How many back stabbers did he have to fire?

I think we should just say that Trump needs McCarthy for the Jan 6 kangaroo court.
The republican party is a rino party. It is of and for rinos. The decision for MAGA to work within the republican party necessitates working with rinos. I’d like to see another way. We need a real opposition party, a pro-American party that will take the republican party’s place. But apparently the system is rigged and it looks like this is the best that we can hope for politically. All of you who blame Trump for the sorry state that Washington need a reality check.

Trump is probably the only person that could dismantle the Deep State and the swamp.....mainly because he isnt a "politician"..
