The mask concept is to reduce transmission. It doesn’t have to be an oldster on the plane. It could be an oldster a number of nodes later whose life is at risk if infected.
Masks of a proper kind are about protecting the population. Not only that portion of it on the plane. The population as a whole, placed more at risk by every infection that occurs anywhere.
Government also only purchases masks and crap made in China to the detriment of US companies. BUY AMERICAN-If you are inclined to wear a mask (not looking for an argument, I am aware of all opinions and do not believe government can tell me to wear a mask, nor do I believe ANYTHING any government entity says these days), OR have a medical reason to need to wear an N95 mask, as a nurse I highly recommend this company: https://www.unitedstatesmask.com/
These guys are GREAT. Read their story- they started company when pandemic began to provide PPE for healthcare workers. Ran into issues with pre-existing local hospital contracts and despite being N95 fully certified were not vetted/reviewed by local hospitals so they opened sales to public. One would think an entity such as the CDC would be smart enough to know the masks don’t work for the virus and they indeed make people sick due to the petri dish accumulation of bacteria and other germs that grow on both sides.
I guess not. There’s not even a 44 combined IQ in the CDC.
But being power mad they are off the kelvin scale! Molten hot!
Of course being dumb, stupid, and hot may work for some women but not for a government agency.

B) $2 to $3 bucks a mask is not affordable given...
C) Masks are fomites. And they're are other bugs in addition to CoupFlu out there, aren't there. And at the above price, people are not going to follow good infection control practice.

About a month ago we got the news that Covenant Health no longer is requiring masks for patients and visitors at their facilities.
I didn’t need one on May 26 for x-rays at the hospital, and today I’ll find out about the primary care facility.
I’d like to think the nightmare is almost over. But ... election day in five months. I dunno.
I was recently with someone having an inpatient diagnostic test done in a hospital. Right before the nurse went to administer an IV, the nurse fussed with her muzzle.
When the nurse went to do the IV without sanitizing her hands, I had a word with her. I needed to instruct her to clean her hands before she touched anything else.
Unbefreakinglievable.
Pathetic. Mandated masks never have been about health and safety. Since spring of 2020 they ALWAYS have been about power and control.
Even Fauci, who had been in the healthcare industrial complex for over 50 years by that time, stated that makes are useless. It was only after TPTB concocted their scheme to steal an election that he changed his tune.
Tell me that he had known masks were useless for decades, but changed his mind within a matter of DAYS, and only after meeting with politicians. POLITICIANS — not medical or scientific people.
I love it. Ridicule most likely is the most effective tool to make the maskholes lose their scuzzy, bacteria-laden icons of virtue.
I am confident you will not find an explicit quote by Fauci saying masks are useless. Don’t go deciding you can read his mind. Find an explicit quote saying exactly that. You won’t. You made it up.
China mandates masks and they have had all the overwhelming control of society they need. They didn’t need more. They wanted masks because they have the original owners manual of the virus and they know how many it can kill.
Fauci’s big error was the same as the CDC. His early career came from desperate seeking of an HIV vaccine. He failed. But it embedded vax in his worldview for global disease. He envisioned a vax good for a lifetime. The vax created and pushed so hard has proven to have a limited lifetime. It weakens with time. It is a huge failure and it belongs to him and the CDC, and health ministries in general.
They planned and strategized on it lasting for life. They were wrong. They saved lives only for 4-6 months. And then they saved none. The entire world is laying there open to the next variant surge. Most everyone has no immunity of any kind after this time passage.
And most everyone has moved away from masks. What should have happened is everyone moving away from worthless masks and embracing N95. Didn’t happen. The global population now exists out there, defenseless.
I only wear them in COVID patient rooms.
