Travis you are better than using apples to avocado analogies. However, most of my sources are from before 2010. It appears Russian alcohol intake has gone down significantly from 2003. From addictioncenter.com:

Alcohol is a major source of death in Russia and throughout the world. In fact, about 1 in every 20 deaths worldwide is the result of an alcohol-related disease, injury, accident, murder, or suicide. Alcohol abuse damages a person’s brain, liver, and other organs, and increases the likelihood of cancer and heart disease. According to the WHO report, life expectancy for Russians has risen as Russians have consumed less alcohol. In fact, overall mortality fell by 39% for Russian men and 36% for Russian women from 2003 to 2018. Currently, life expectancy in Russia is 68 years for men and 78 years for women. By comparison, life expectancy for Russian men was only 57 years in the 1990s, a period in Russian history when alcohol consumption increased.

According to a study from the Moscow Research Institute of Psychiatry, history shows that there is a correlation between life expectancy and alcohol consumption. “Trends in estimated total alcohol consumption and official alcohol sales strongly correspond with the observed shifts of mortality,” the researchers for the study explain. For example, from 1998 to 2003, the Russian economy grew while regulations on alcohol were minimal, so Russians purchased more alcohol and life expectancy declined. When the government began to regulate alcohol more vigorously in 2003, life expectancy began to rise.

I believe this without even knowing any details.

I believe Colonel of almost every military talk this way when they think no one can hear about their leadership.

Every military has big problems, corruption, stupidity, ridiculous mistakes

I would be shocked if they didn’t

#23. Try watching the video or check out the tweet by Telenko in post #20.

The situation in the Russian army has been extremely bad from the start.

It has not shown much improvement since the invasion started.

Ok I watched the video.

I have to admit I was wrong.
A couple recordings aren’t hard to believe, but aren’t exactly a shocking surprise either. A long list of officers of every country would have similar criticisms of leadership and other officers.

Large portions of this are a hoax.

“according to a bellingcat analyst”

Are people really this gullible. It’s funny.
I do not believe the call where the guy confronts the general about wanting to target cities is real, my BS detector pegged

They'll have what they need, not what they want, but good enough to declare a success and leave.

Like in Trans..what the hell ever its called, they'll leave military behind to keep an eye on things.

Right now-the videos I see of the reports of the civilians in that area, they want it over and done with.

The Ukraine supporters can either move out, or come back in and deal with the circumstances.

I do NOT see the Russians making a try for the Odessa region. They;ll leave that as a bargaining chip for The Ukraine.

This is an interesting map indicating Russian cell phone use. How does it compare with the maps showing territory occupied by Russians? Where exactly is the bright spot to the NE, and the less bright spot more to the SW? I was unable to read any place names under the spots. There also appear to be 3 areas separated by some uncolored space. I wonder what that means? Are these where heavy fighting is taking place and people are too busy to use SIM cards? Or are these relatively unoccupied areas, or even some other reason?

“Its going to be over for The Ukraine by August.”

It was supposed to be over in March.

Then it was supposed be over in April.

It was for sure going to be over in May.

It’s now June, and it still ain’t over.

#30. I do not know the source of the SIM card map. Maybe there are telecommunication discussion boards or sites that have it, I don't know. I compared the image to liveuamap and google maps.

Mostly, it provides a rough guess to the concentration of Russian forces at the time the image was taken, which was on or some time before May 12. The fact that the map exists at all shows Russian forces have real problems with logistics, operational security, and military order and discipline. This was Telenko's real point in sharing it.

My best guess is the bright spots in NE Ukraine are around Kharkiv for the bigger one and Severodonetsk for the smaller one. The one to the south is Kherson.

The gaps are were Russian presence is low or none because there is no Ukrainian forces to fight or no need to have a Russian presence. Directly North of Crimea, there is no Ukrainian presence, so there is no need for Russian forces to be there. When zooming on google maps to the gap south of the Severodonetsk, it looks like it is south of Kramatorsk and west of Bakhmut. That area may be farmland given how few towns and roads are there.

There have to be some places where Russian forces are using proper military communications that are encrypted and hard to detect. These will not show up on civilian SIM card phone maps.

This looks to be from late April-early May, after the retreat from Kiev when those troops were brought to the Izyum area - NE bright spot. The more troops in an area the brighter the color.

Absence of color = absence of Orcs

All of it is BS because Ukraine blocked all the Russian phones from its network and to call on any Russian number is impossible from Ukraine.
