Christianity was woven into the foundation of the US from the beginning. All the founders acknowledged this and celebrated it. America cannot exist as a self-governing republic without it, that’s why the Left hates and wants to destroy it.
And if his fellow candidate Dr. Oz wins the senate and wants to blur the line between his Muslim faith and state? What will Mastriano's response be?
"Merry Christmas" and "Saint Valentine's Day" are being erased from the public vocabulary. Easter Break is now Spring Break. A.D. is now C.E.
Every other religion is amplified as part of "diversity" and "inclusivity." Whereas Christianity is being shoved into the closet, the religion that dare not speak its name.
Thus any "Christian nationalism" is merely defensive pushback. When a group is under assault, it's natural for them to become conscious of their identity.
That same is true with "white identity." Anti-white racism is making whites feel more defensive about being white. Anti-Christian bigotry is making Christians more defensive about Christianity.
