No African languages are taught at the university, and calls for reforms are often ignored.

Why would a university teach African languages? College is about preparing you for the future. I cannot think of a single African language that is a common language.

My primary takeaway from this op-ed is that if the author represents the kind of imbecilic, non-thinkers produced at George Washington University, there should definitely be a name change over there. But it’s the word “university” that should change because that university isn’t teaching anyone anything.

It's also one of the most expensive universities in the country. What an effing joke....

If you want to operate in Africa the best languages to learn are English, French, Arabic, and Portuguese.

Most countries have one or the other of these as their legal and official language, and most people in the cities speak one of these languages, depending on which country.
