they DID leave a trace, their cellphones and videos did that. What’s “pretty naive” is seeing a videotape of a smash and grab but nobody admits they were part of the mob, so it must not have ever happened.

Please elaborate. I'm not understanding what you mean [I have a dumb flip phone, not a smart phone, so maybe I'm missing something].
My first response would be that the location capture data is independent of any Android or Apple phone apps.

It says in the video that apps sent out data that could be picked up to lock in the phone location.
Well, you could have a phone without an app sending any data and you would fall out of the mule listing of 2,000 yet you would still be a mule.
In other words, there could be 3,000, or 4,000 because there were no apps to trace.
