I have Filipino relatives. I know all about the nicknames. Bongbong is a particularly funny one, though. I have a Filipina wife, with a strange nick name. I never use it, and have no idea how she got it. I know another guy called Bong. Not Bong Bong, just Bong. People tell me, I am not allowed to laugh, but, I still do. 😀 It’s all weird. I actually saw Digong in the mall in Davao once. 😆

When my Filipina gf meets with Sara week after next I’ll have her ask Sara if she’s “dangerous for the nation” lol. They grew up somewhat together.
