The people of this country through their state legislatures had made it clear most them did not want to redefine marriage.
The Supreme Court should not be redefining marriage from on high.
marriage equality is threatened in the United States if Roe v. Wade (1973) is overturned.

Yep. But unless a case is brought forward to the SCOTUS that is very unlikely.
I sure hope so! It's the same Tenth Amendment argument, i.e., the federal government (SCOTUS) striking down state laws, when it has no constitutional basis for doing so.
