“WF charges more than other competitors in closing costs even on loans they originate. They are way out of line on making home loans. Rudeness is their key fault. Their attitude is that of a used car salesman, will tell you anything to make a sale.”

Ditto!

“I know more & more people that are ‘doubling’ up households to escape the crime.”

We know of some “tripling up” households. Actually 3 families from grandparents to adult grandkids or soon to be adults.

Some families saw this social crap coming down decades ago, and they have basically formed family compounds, their own gated communities.

Grandparents are moving into the smaller homes and young parents with growing families moving into the bigger homes, starting the next new generation in these family compounds.

A close friend of one of our sons, is in the process of selling their city home and moving into his parents home while the parents move into a large and nice trailer type home on their farm.

A single adult son from this family will move onto the property with his new mobile home, this summer. He will continue to work for his NE company, via his new office and one bedroom trailer type. This son and his wife are professional medical people.

An uncle owns the property adjoining this farm/ranch. His adult family is doing the same re moving in on his property.

These two families have a small dairy herd and raise hogs/chickens to eat. The two properties share a 5 acre spring fed lake for present and future water needs. They have wind mills and solar installations and can basically live without buying power and water. In fact, most days they sell power to PG&E.

These arrangements don’t work for every family. A couple of our friends had planned on a family compound have decided that many of their so called adult children and semi adult grandkids will not work nor carry their share of the work needed to keep these family compounds running properly.

So, they will let the two families, who will work, move in with them into their present 5 bedroom home. One bedroom will become a large office for whatever is needed to work at home. One granddaughter from a loser family, is a winner, and she plans on moving in with her grandparents into her own trailer on the property. She just passed her RN boards, is a fire fighter, and is an ER para medic. She and a good aunt are very mechanical and hard workers. They hunt for large game (wild pig, deer, wild turkeys and wild ducks and geese. Those skills can protect their compound home.

Makes one wonder how many families can or will be able to do what these families are doing if it becomes necessary.
