Exactly what I thought.
It appears to me, the Ukrainians have been on top in the intelligence war since the beginning.
They had a major failure, perhaps, in knowing just when and where the invasion was to begin. Even that is uncertain.
Ukrainian artillery.
Wait and see, I think, until the Russians announce the losses.
Which they have mostly done, after a while.
It has been well known, since the beginning, that the US was sharing intelligence with the Ukrainians.
If so it was an extremely stupid thing to do.
They must know their comms are monitored and that they are in range.
Not a secret about the spy plane watching Kherson yesterday and the day before. The U.S. was sending a message to Putin to stop thinking about taking Odessa.
Being a General in Russia might be achieved a little too easily.
do you have a reference or a link towards that info?
Was The Butcher one of them?
Nope.
I can’t think of a better way to enlighten putin. Better than a candygram!!
I have been told that the Russian army does not have non-commissioned officers. If that is true and you extrapolate downwards, I think maybe a Russian one star general actually corresponds to possibly an American second lieutenant, maybe a first lieutenant.
But then I was probably told wrong since no military can operate without noncoms.
Putin was bragging about marching from Kherson to Moldova (and taking Odessa) yesterday so the U.S. sent him a message saying he can’t cut off the Black Sea.
The Ukrainian intelligence failure was that of internal security. Their leadership in Kherson was compromised by the Russians. The FSB on their part did not fail completely. Indeed, outside of maximalist expectations it should be considered an outstanding success.
But the expectations were maximalist, which is much more of a leadership failure. Its a bad plan that hangs on everything going right.
The success with respect to the Ukrainian southern defense allowed Russian forces to reach and “bounce” Kherson, which otherwise should have been easy to defend. It also allowed the Russians to turn the Ukrainian flank and surround Mariupol.
NCO’s are team players. They buy into the mission. Russians know it’s a game, not a mission.
Bad if you were a Jew or other “undesirables”.
Check out Monkey Werx on youtube. He shows in near real time where our military is conducting air operations. Lots of other good information there too.
From what I hear from other sources this command post had 50 commanding officers of the Kherson forces there when it was hit.
The strike didn’t just kill the 2 generals but the entire command staff of Russian forces at Kherson.
